There is something really enjoyable about reworking an old piece of work, looking through old sketch books at idea’s and inspiration that led you to the final design. I came across a competition piece which was designed for the SGA many years ago, I really enjoyed designing and making this piece and I still love the contrast between the contemporary angular lines and the sweeping curve.

Many years ago we spent time in the north of Italy where we would stroll around the old markets and ancient ally’s looking at old traditional jewellery that was rich in textures and steeped in historical content and comparing this to the contemporary handmade jewellery on offer with it’s sleek clean lines.

This resulted in me spending time exploring and experimenting with textures on my own jewellery and as a result the Trinity cuff was created. Reflecting on these old times this morning has sparked and idea to revisit this concept in a new range….. watch this space!!
