No. XLIII

Named in memory of a dear friend, Number 43 is his studio that I visited countless times as it was often my refuge from the stresses and strains of day-to-day life. It was a place where you could spend hours prowling through drawers, cabinets and boxes full of interesting collectables – be it old bolts or beautiful antique leather goods, Number 43’s contents was as individual and eclectic as its owner. Always to the background soundtrack of his jazz music, our attention inevitably turned to one of the many bars on our doorstep. A lunch time glass of wine and a relaxed hour people-watching and chatting about our latest commissions or design projects was order of the day.”
